Emile Sherman is Joint Managing Director and Co-Founder of Australian and UK based film and television production company, See-Saw Films.
See-Saw has produced multiple award-winning film and television productions including; Lion, The King’s Speech, Top of The Lake, Tracks, State of the Union, Widows, Shame, Mr Holmes and Oranges and Sunshine. Emile works with many of the world’s leading writers, directors and actors. See-Saw’s productions have won four Academy Awards, nine BAFTAs, two Golden Globes, five Emmys, and 22 AACTAs. Emile’s earlier productions include Disgrace, Candy, and, as co-exec producer, Rabbit-Proof Fence. See-Saw Films’ subsidiary, Fulcrum Media Finance, is a major film and television financier, having financed tax credits and provided other forms of debt finance to over 200 productions to date. Emile won the Producer Guild of America Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures Award in 2011 and the FIAPF Award for Outstanding Achievement in Film in the Asia Pacific Region in 2014.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Arts degree from the University of New South Wales. Emile is a director of the Sydney Writers’ Festival. He is also Co-Chairman of family office, The Sherman Group, which oversees a portfolio of investments as well as a number of businesses including specialist financier Paddington Street Finance.
