LORRAINE MADDEN
Lorraine Madden is a senior associate at law firm, Karp Steedman Ross-Adjie. She has extensive commercial litigation and advocacy experience, having practiced both in Sydney and London before moving to Perth in 2000.
Lorraine’s areas of expertise include: insurance litigation, occupational health and safety legislation, planning disputes and deceased estates. Her knowledge and experience have been used to successfully act for large corporations and individuals in a diverse range of professions including law, medicine, insurance, accounting, engineering, and construction. Having practiced in the area of insurance litigation for many years, Lorraine is well placed to advise clients on policy issues.
In her work at Karp Steedman Ross-Adjie, Lorraine is involved in a number of commercial disputes in Federal, Supreme and District Courts as well as advising on matters relating to deceased estates, and defending prosecutions for breaches of occupational health and safety legislation and planning legislation.
Lorraine’s love of animals sees her being actively involved with the RSPCA and other animal protection groups. She regularly puts her skills to good use as the Western Australian pro-bono co-ordinator for the RSPCA.
Lorraine will present at the Perth Law Lecture Series on Thursday 2 May at Murdoch University and Friday 3 May at Allens on the practical limitations of the Animal Welfare Act 2002 (WA).
