BRUCE WAGMAN
‘Super lawyer’ Bruce Wagman is a partner in the San Francisco commercial law firm of Schiff Hardin, whose esteemed career has included litigating some of America’s most significant animal law cases affecting animals in farming, entertainment, biomedical research and more. He serves as the Chief Outside Litigation Counsel for the Animal Legal Defense Fund (US) and has represented private and organisational clients in state and federal courts across the United States.
Mr Wagman has taught animal law at Hastings College of the Law (San Francisco), Boalt Hall (UC Berkeley), Stanford Law School, Vermont Law School and the University of San Francisco, School of Law. He is also co-author of America’s first casebook on animal law, soon entering its fourth edition, and is near completion of a new book comparing animal-related laws around the world. He was named one of Northern California’s Super Lawyers in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
