Emile Sherman

Academy Award®-winning producer Emile Sherman co-founded See-Saw Films with UK producer Iain Canning in 2008 and has produced a number of prestigious film and television projects, including six-time Academy Award® nominated LION, the four-time Academy Award® winning film THE KING’S SPEECH and the Emmy Award winning series TOP OF THE LAKE.

See-Saw’s upcoming film projects include Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons and Francis Lee’s Ammonite, starring Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan, which finished shooting in 2019. Prior to co-founding See-Saw, Sherman produced acclaimed feature films including CANDY starring Heath Ledger and Geoffrey Rush, DISGRACE based on J.M. Coetzee’s Nobel Prize winning novel and, as co-executive producer, RABBIT-PROOF FENCE starring Kenneth Branagh and directed by Philip Noyce.

In addition to his Managing Director role at See-Saw, Sherman is a Director of Fulcrum Media Finance, a specialist film and television financier, and sits on the Board of the Ethics Centre. He is a former director of the Sydney Writer’s Festival.
