Marc Bekoff
We all must work together for a science of peace and build a culture of empathy, and emphasize the positive and pro-social side of our and other animals' character. It's truly who we and other animals are and it's about time we focus on the good side of human and animal nature.
Marc Bekoff is Professor Emeritus of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder and has been a member of the Voiceless Scientific Expert Advisory Panel since 2009.
Marc’s work focuses on issues of animal behaviour, cognitive ethology (the study of animal minds) and behavioural ecology. He has written more than 200 articles, numerous books, and edited three encyclopaedias. Marc’s published works include Encyclopaedia of Animal Rights and Animal Welfare, The Emotional Lives of Animals and The Animal Manifesto: Ten Reasons for Expanding Our Compassion Footprint.
